I’m off to France. We’ll, not exactly. Today after about an hour delay, I met up with Sarah, my great-niece, in Seattle. We took a shuttle to the hotel and, although it was only about 10:00 in the morning, we were able to check in. We then took thee light rail into Seattle.
We looked around Westlake for awhile…
We wandered down to Pikes Market where we watch the fish throw at the fish market, and explored the shops. We even visited the gum wall where I almost took a bite….
Sarah talked to some artists about their art. Here is one of them….
The really exciting adventure came when we were on the light rail going back to the hotel. At one stop, some young guys came on and sat behind us. They cranked up their rap music and attempted to try to sing along. Then they got out their tin foil and lighter and little container of what??? fentanyl? cocaine? We/I tried to ignore them while Sarah teased me (must be a common thing for her)—I must have been showing my age. When they created a huge STINK, I turned around and frowned. The guy said something about doing drugs and moved to another seat. Eventually they got off. Those young’uns. Obviously, I don’t have photos of that adventure.
This is my first attempt at doing this blog on my iPad and phone. Pictures are a little skewed but I think it’s all here. Tomorrow we fly to Paris, then to Strasbourg by Train. Stay tuned.
